GREY HARE DRYPOINT

I’ve just been doing a little tidying up and came across this drypoint. I rather liked it at the time except for the fact that the paper had slipped in the press so it wasn’t quite straight. That and a small fleck of fibre that had crept in too. Of course, all the other colour experiements came out fine, I just didn’t really like the colours. Typical.

One of our sepia hare prints is now available as postcards and greetings cards. Perfect for birthdays, thank yous or a quick line to let someone know they’re in your thoughts, you can find them in our online shop.

A WONDERFUL WAY TO SPEND A DAY

I spent a wonderful day making a felt hare and robin at the end of last year, guided by the hugely talented Michelle Hickman of Furzie.

An inspiring and rewarding day, I’m hoping to join Michelle for another of her needle felting days soon. She’s recently published a series of dates for her courses, and it’s definitely worth having a look. Her work is just brilliant and she shares her experience and talent so easily and freely, you’ll go home with a fabulous creation, or perhaps two, at the end of a great day.

Not the best photograph by any means, but these are examples of her work. You can see more of her wonderful work, as well as course dates, on her website.

FIND OUR CARDS IN STOURPORT ON SEVERN

Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous 2016. I hope the year has started well for you all.

A minor eye problem has slowed down artwork at End of the Lane for now, but hopefully that will all be fixed very soon. In the meantime, it’s been lovely to pop into our local stockists for a catch up.

Over the moon to know our hare cards having been selling well at the delightful Clock Gallery and Coffee Shop in New Street in Stouport on Severn. And they’ve now taken our greetings cards too. Why not pop by and take a look?

Owned by artist Suzi Whinder-Cartwright, it’s a fabulous local gallery and a great place for a coffee. And you can buy beauiful cards, prints and art supplies knowing you are supporting local artists and a great local business.
